The server listed above is a BattleField2 server that is running the Point of Existance mod on it. It is a very large download but realitively easy to setup.  Check out the following pages and then come back for the automated scripts to make it work.

This page is for the sole purpose of seting up game servers on dedicated Linux boxes.It was limited to Call of Duty 2 but will now include Battlefield 2
with the Special Forces and expansion packs. The main file is downoadable directly from "EA", both Windows and Linux Versions of there servers can be downloaded from this site.

Call Of Duty 2 Server Config File:
Our first server is on "RedHat", "Fedora 2-4", & "DSLinux" hard drive install.

Our second Call of Duty 2 server is on a DSL toram option. This will load the complete operating system and game server to ram. It requires 512 megs of ram and at least a 550mhz pc, w/ a dvd drive. This setup will allow you to run a server on a machine without modifying its operating system, just reboot and the game server is gone.

Battlefield 2 Linux Server:
EA is one of the very few companies that issues a Linux Version of there server software, most servers have to be converted by a dedicated programmer.
There is also the issue of keeping your server current and as of this writing the version is 1.3 and 1.4 is in Beta. I will update as I can. So if you
want to install a BF2 Server on an existing Linux or Windows server please visit http://battlefield2.ea.com and download there stuff, there instructions are lacking at best so please refer to http://www.firingsquad.com/guides/battlefield_2_linux_server_setup/page2.asp
for one of the easiest guides I have found.

For Battlefield 2, I will only be offering a VMware Appliance that can be downloaded from this website. It is a slow connection so be patient.
(People have had issues with downloading from this site, it is because of files getting removed, I am working on it.)
